29th November 2019 – bright and frosty/calm
Offshore
Quieter over the sea this morning with just 3 Kittiwake, 3 Common Scoter and a Red-throated Diver.
Grounded Migrants
Early morning thrushes involved 14 Fieldfare, 12 Redwing and 10 Song Thrush. A Chiffchaff was the only other evidence of grounded birds.
Diurnal Migration
A total of 215 Pink-footed Goose flew through in 4 skeins.
Wildfowl and Waders
The Brent Goose flock contained 210 pale-bellied birds and waders included 3000 Knot and 800 Golden Plover. A Woodcock was the unfortunate victim of an RTA.
Miscellaneous
The Hooded Crow put in another appearance and 2 Merlin and 2 Peregrine were the best of the rest.
