Hooded Crow reappears

8th November 2019 – bright and sunny N1/2
A scan of the sea revealed just a few Razorbill.
Grounded Migrants
Early morning thrushes involved 26 Fieldfare and 2 Redwing. The only additional evidence of newly grounded birds involved single Blackcap and Goldcrest.
Diurnal Migration
The lack of movement suggests autumn is almost over with just 4 Whooper Swan, 4 Siskin, 2 Brambling, 2 Bullfinch and a Lesser Redpoll logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
The 2 female Scaup remain and male Goosander was seen. Waders included 8 Purple Sandpiper.
The reappearance of the Hooded Crow and a single Barn Owl were the best of the rest.
A Harbour Porpoise was offshore.
