Rarities
A Great White Egret roosted on the saltmarsh at Scar End Point over the evening tide.
Offshore
An early morning check of the sea on the falling tide (0600-0800) produced 310 Guillemot, 167 Gannet, 58 Sandwich Tern, 42 Common Scoter, 38 Kittiwake, 32 Razorbill, 10 Manx Shearwater, 3 Puffin, 2 Little Tern, 2 Red-throated Diver and a Fulmar.
Grounded Migrants
Limited to single Wheatear, Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff.
Diurnal Migration
A few Swallow trickled through.
Miscellaneous
The Hooded Crow put in another performance.
Butterflies and Moths
The first Wall Brown and Common Blue are now on the wing.
