Offshore
A check of the sea before the heat haze took over (0630-0830) produced 370 Sandwich Tern, 115 Common Scoter, 31 Guillemot, 25 Gannet, 3 Little Tern, 3 Kittiwake, 2 Arctic Skua – pale morph and single Red-throated Diver and Fulmar.
Diurnal Migration
A few Lesser Redpoll continue to move through.
Wildfowl and Waders
The female Long-tailed Duck continues in residence and a single Whimbrel was logged.
Butterflies and Moths
Dingy Skipper and Burnet Companion are now on the wing.
