Offshore
Observations over the sea (0800-0900) revealed 65 Razorbill, 43 Common Scoter, 16 Gannet, 12 Shag, 3 Red-throated Diver and 3 Red-breasted Merganser.
Grounded Migrants
The Cetti’s Warbler remains and newly grounded birds included 7 Coal Tit, 6 Goldcrest, 4 Redwing and 2 Chiffchaff.
Diurnal Migration
Totals through the morning had a late autumn feel and included 530 Jackdaw, 465 Starling, 100 Meadow Pipit, 2 Redpoll, 2 Siskin and a Grey Wagtail.
Wildfowl and Waders
A flock of 220 Pintail were logged.
Miscellaneous
Two Water Rail, single Merlin and the long-staying Hooded Crow were the best of the rest.
Butterflies and Moths
Attractions to the light trap overnight included Rusty Dot Pearl.
