Grounded Migrants
Newly grounded birds included 20 Wren, 14 Redwing, 8 Long-tailed Tit, 7 Goldcrest, 5 Coal Tit and single Blackcap, Bullfinch, Chiffchaff, Fieldfare and Song Thrush.
Diurnal Migration
Totals through the morning included 160 Linnet, 75 Meadow Pipit, 60 Jackdaw, 55 Chaffinch, 50 Pink-footed Goose, 35 Tree Sparrow, 23 Redpoll, 23 Siskin, 20 Skylark, 18 Pied Wagtail, 4 Swallow, 2 Brambling, 2 Grey Wagtail and a House Martin.
Miscellaneous
A Water Rail and thee Hooded Crow were the best of the rest.
Butterflies and Moths
Attractions to the light trap overnight included 2 Rusty Dot Pearl and 2 Pearly Underwing.
