Grounded Migrants
Early morning thrushes involved 30 Redwing, 15 Blackbird and 5 Fieldfare while additional newly grounded birds included 10 Coal Tit, 10 Goldcrest, 6 Stonechat, 3 Chiffchaff and singles of Blackcap and Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Diurnal Migration
Totals of 200 Redwing, 60 Chaffinch, 50 Pink-footed Goose, 20 Fieldfare, 20 Redpoll, 8 Siskin, 4 Tree Sparrow and 4 Swallow flew through.
Miscellaneous
A Merlin was the best of the rest while the island’s “woodland” added a further 90 Redwing and 65 Fieldfare.
