Grounded Migrants
Early morning thrushes involved 16 Redwing and 3 Fieldfare while additional newly grounded birds included 10 Goldcrest and 4 Chiffchaff
Diurnal Migration
Totals included 280 Jackdaw, 40 Chaffinch, 5 Redpoll, 2 Grey Wagtail and a House Martin.
Wildfowl and Waders
A single female Pochard – the first since 11th March 2022 and a female Scaup were both newly arrived.
Miscellaneous
A Marsh Harrier, 2 Merlin and single Water Rail and Hooded Crow were the best of the rest.
Butterflies and Moths
Migrants in the light trap were limited to a Rusty Dot Pearl.
