Rarities
Cumbria's first Isabelline Shrike remained in the vicinity of the observatory garden throughout the day. Note South Walney Nature Reserve opens at 1000hrs.
Grounded Migrants
Early morning thrushes involved 24 Redwing, 5 Fieldfare and a Mistle Thrush. Otherwise sightings were limited to 12 Goldcrest.
Diurnal Migration
Visible migration included 18 Twite, 10 Tree Sparrow, 6 Whooper Swan, 2 Siskin and a Lesser Redpoll.
