Offshore
Observations on the flooding tide (0815-0915) were highlighted by a Puffin and the first 4 Arctic Tern of the spring moving into Morecambe Bay. Also seen were 25 Sandwich Tern, 20 Razorbill, 11 Gannet, 7 Red-throated Diver, 6 Common Scoter, 3 Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Pintail, 2 Guillemot and a Shag.
Grounded Migrants
A hint of cloud early morning saw 8 Wheatear, 4 Willow Warbler and 2 Chiffchaff logged.
Diurnal Migration
Limited to a trickle of Meadow Pipit, Swallow and alba Wagtail.
Wildfowl and Waders
The pair of Gadwall remain, however no pale-bellied Brent Geese have been recorded for several days and are presumably now en route to their Canadian breeding grounds. Waders included a flock of 120 Golden Plover.

Moths
The moth traps held just small numbers of Early Thorn, Common Quaker and Hebrew Character.
