First Swallows move through

Rarities
Although remaining mobile at least one Water Pipit was again in the flooded fields and horse paddocks near Biggar.
Offshore
Observations (0745-0845) produced 80 Common Scoter, 31 Kittiwake, 10 Razorbill, 9 Teal, 3 Gannet, 2 Red-throated Diver and single Sandwich Tern and Guillemot.
Grounded Migrants
Remaining sparse with just 120 Meadow Pipit logged.
Diurnal Migration
The first 2 Swallow flew through along with 2 Sand Martin and an early morning total of 60 Meadow Pipit.
Wildfowl and Waders
The pair of Gadwall remain and waders included 7 Greenshank and 3 Black-tailed Godwit amongst 650 Redshank
Miscellaneous
The flock of 110 Twite remain and 3 Little Egret and 2 Raven were logged.
