Migrants continue to move through

15th May 2007 - overcast then bright and sunny V1/2
Offshore
A quiet day over the sea (0800-0900) was highlighted by 2 pale-phase Arctic Skua and a single Shag amongst small numbers of Gannet, Common Scoter and Sandwich Tern.
Grounded Migrants
The 2 Hooded Crow remain and totals of 20 Wheatear, 6 Willow Warbler and single Redstart, Lesser Whitethroat and Blackcap included at least some new arrivals.
Diurnal Migration
Totals of 100 Swallow, 20 House Martin and 4 Swift flew through during the course of the morning.
Wildfowl and Waders
A total of 12 Whimbrel were logged.
Breeding Birds
A single Reed Warbler was still singing and a further influx of Sedge Warbler and Whitethroat was noted.
Mammals
At least 10 Grey Seal were seen along with single Stoat and Hare.
Moths
Amongst the moths attracted to the MV trap overnight was a Small Square-spot - the first of the year.
