Offshore movement continues to provide variety

Offshore
At least 2 Shag remain. Early morning observations (0530-0630) produced totals of 100 Common Scoter, 80 Sandwich Tern, 25 Gannet, 10 Manx Shearwater, 5 Kittiwake, 3 Arctic Tern, 2 Fulmar and single Arctic Skua and Red-throated Diver.
Grounded Migrants
A total of 6 Wheatear was the only record of note.
Diurnal Migration
A few Swallow and House Martin continue to pass through.
Moths
The MV moth trap produced 94 moths of 21 species - the highest catch so far this year, although the only new addition was Common Swift.
