Passerines continue to trickle through as passage waders build

Offshore
At least 3 Shag continue to linger and morning observations (0730-0830) provided 2 Arctic Skua (1 dark, 1 pale) and 2 Little Tern amongst small numbers of Gannet, Common Scoter, Sandwich Tern and Guillemot.
Grounded Migrants
A total of 15 Wheatear were logged along with 3 Willow Warbler and single Lesser Whitethroat, Garden Warbler and Pied Flycatcher. The long-staying Hooded Crow was joined by a second individual.
Diurnal Migration
Evidence of passage was limited to 3 Swift.
Wildfowl and Waders
Passage waders included 230 Ringed Plover, 310 Knot, 170 Sanderling, 5700 Dunlin, 10 Bar-tailed Godwit, 10 Whimbrel, 275 Turnstone and a single Greenshank.
Miscellaneous
Two Little Egrets stalked the island.
