After a two months closure due to lockdown the observatory has reopened, although with reduced capability. Please note that South Walney Nature Reserve is still unfortunately closed to vehicles until further notice.
Diurnal Migration
A late Lesser Redpoll flew through.
Wildfowl and Waders
A drake Garganey was the pick of the wildfowl which also included single Wigeon and Shoveler. Waders were represented by a Little Stint along with an impressive 8000 Knot and 100 Sanderling.
Miscellaneous
The long-staying Hooded Crow is still in residence.
Breeding Birds
A family group of Raven were seen.
