Rosy Starling and Puffin

Rarities
The Rose-coloured Starling was again present feeding with a c60 Starling in the dunes between the lighthouse and ruined gun emplacement at South Walney Nature Reserve.
Offshore
A check of the sea (0630-07300) revealed a single Puffin heading towards the mouth of Morecambe Bay. Also seen were 120 Common Scoter, 29 Gannet, 20 Manx Shearwater, 18 Sandwich Tern, 14 Guillemot, 3 Razorbill and a Little Tern.
Diurnal Migration
A few Swift flew through..
Wildfowl and Waders
Wildfowl included 5 Teal and Shoveler while waders included 6000 Knot.
Miscellaneous
A family group of 5 Raven were again the best of the rest.
