Rosy Starling

Rarities
An adult Rose-coloured Starling was amongst a small flock of Starling feeding near the Oyster Farm at South Walney Nature Reserve late-afternoon.
Offshore
Observations over the sea (0730-0900) produced 110 Sandwich Tern, 57 Common Scoter, 29 Manx Shearwater, 3 Gannet, 2 Kittiwake and a Fulmar.
Grounded Migrants
A late moving male Blackcap was logged.
Wildfowl and Waders
Wader sightings were dominated by 8000 Knot and wildfowl included 3 Teal and a male Wigeon.
Miscellaneous
The 3 Raven are still in residence.
Breeding Birds
The first few Eider chicks have now emerged.
