Rosy Starling and Puffins

Rarities
The Rose-coloured Starling was again present feeding with a c80 Starling in the dunes between the lighthouse and ruined gun emplacement at South Walney Nature Reserve.
Offshore
A check of the sea (0630-0730) revealed 2 Puffin heading towards the mouth of Morecambe Bay. Also seen were 21 Sandwich Tern, 18 Manx Shearwater, 17 Gannet, 8 Common Scoter and 3 Razorbill.
Diurnal Migration
A few Swift flew through..
Wildfowl and Waders
Wildfowl included the summering male Wigeon while waders included 2000 Knot and 18 Redshank and a Greenshank.
Miscellaneous
A family group of 5 Raven were the best of the rest.
