Offshore
Observations as the rain cleared (1200-1300) were limited to 70 Sandwich Tern, 2 Arctic Tern and single Little Tern and Shag.
Grounded Migrants
At least 3 Yellow Wagtail and a handful of Willow Warbler remained.
Wildfowl and Waders
The Wood Sandpiper remains and additional waders included 8 Greenshank and 8 Whimbrel.
Miscellaneous
A Marsh Harrier hunted over the island.
Butterflies and Moths
Attractions to the moth trap were much reduced by overnight rain but included 14 Silver Y and Small Wainscot – the latter the first of the year.
