10th July 2019 – early rain clearing S2
Offshore
A check of the falling tide as the rain cleared (0730-0830) provided 200 Manx Shearwater, 130 Common Scoter, 115 Sandwich Tern, 57 Gannet, 7 Kittiwake and single Puffin and Little Tern. It has been a record year for Puffin sightings with in excess of 200 birds logged so far this year.
Grounded Migrants
Newly grounded birds consisted of 5 Willow Warbler and 2 Blackcap.
Wildfowl and waders
Four Pink-footed Geese were present and waders included a Common Sandpiper.
Mammals
Single Badger and Hare were logged.
