Offshore
Early morning observations over the sea (0700-0800) produced 350 Sandwich Tern, 22 Little Tern, 4 Common Tern and 3 Arctic Tern along with 18 Shag, 12 Gannet and 10 Common Scoter.
Grounded Migrants
A few birds were in evidence with variety rather than quantity the order of the day, sightings included 7 Willow Warbler, 4 Whitethroat, 3 Wheatear and single Lesser Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Goldcrest and Spotted Flycatcher.
Diurnal Migration
Totals of 5 Tree Pipit, 3 Yellow Wagtail, 3 Tree Sparrow, 3 Sand Martin and a Grey Wagtail flew through.
Wildfowl and Waders
Sightings included 44 Grey Plover.
Miscellaneous
The Hooded Crow continues in residence and a Merlin and 2 Sparrowhawk were the best of the rest.
