Offshore
Same conditions but the early morning seawatch (0615-0815) proved to be less profitable than yesterday with 235 Sandwich Tern, 108 Common Scoter, 108 Guillemot, 57 Manx Shearwater, 38 Kittiwake, 19 Gannet, 11 Red-throated Diver, 4 Razorbill and a Little Tern logged.
Grounded Migrants
Single Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff were recorded.
Wildfowl and Waders
A pair of Tufted Duck were recently arrived.
Miscellaneous
The long-staying Hooded Crow remains.
Mammals
Worryingly for the ground nesting birds, a Red Fox was seen.
Butterflies and Moths
The light trap attracted 36 moths of 12 species with Angle Shades, Cinnabar and Dog’s Tooth new for the year.
