Offshore
An early morning seawatch on the rising tide (0630-0830) produced 468 Guillemot, 250 Sandwich Tern, 110 Kittiwake, 90 Common Scoter, 61 Gannet, 38 Manx Shearwater, 8 Razorbill, 7 Puffin, 7 Red-throated Diver, 6 Arctic Skua and single Little Tern and Fulmar.
Diurnal Migration
Two Swift were logged.
Miscellaneous
A Short-eared Owl was the first of the year and the long-staying Hooded Crow remains.
Butterflies and Moths
The first Red Admiral of the year was seen and attractions to the light trap included a Poplar Hawk-moth which was new for the year.
