Offshore
An early morning check of the sea on the rising tide (0630-0800) revealed 525 Common Scoter, 143 Sandwich Tern, 50 Gannet, 36 Red-throated Diver, 31 Kittiwake, 21 Guillemot, 19 Manx Shearwater, 4 Red-breasted Merganser, 4 Velvet Scoter, 3 Puffin, 3 Arctic Tern, 2 Little Tern and a Shag.
Grounded Migrants
Wheatear continue to dominate with 22 birds logged, including the leucistic bird along with 2 Willow Warbler and a Blackcap.
Diurnal Migration
Three Lesser Redpoll, 2 Tree Pipit and a House Martin were recorded.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included a 42 Whimbrel and a Greenshank.
Breeding Birds
Seven Grasshopper Warbler and 3 Reed Warbler are now on territory amongst slowly increasing numbers of Sedge Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler.
