Offshore
A check of the sea revealed 28 Common Scoter, 11 Sandwich Tern, 9 Shag, 2 Gannet and 2 Red-throated Diver.
Grounded Migrants
Quieter than yesterday with 11 Chiffchaff, 9 White Wagtail, 4 Wheatear, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Goldcrest and a Whinchat logged.
Diurnal Migration
Passage totals through the morning included 100 Swallow, 56 Grey Wagtail, 50 Meadow Pipit, 22 Tree Sparrow, 2 Tree Pipit and single Yellow Wagtail and Lesser Redpoll and a Buzzard flew east at 1000hrs.
Wildfowl and Waders
Waders included Whimbrel and Black-tailed Godwit.
Miscellaneous
A Peregrine was the best of the rest.
Mammals
At least five Bottle-nosed Dolphin were offshore early morning.
Butterflies and Moths
The light trap attracted 52 moths of 20 species, immigrants involved Rush Veneer and Pearly Underwing.
