Offshore
A quick morning check of the sea revealed 10 Gannet, 6 Shag and a Red-throated Diver.
Grounded Migrants
Variety was the order of the day with 12 Robin, 3 Willow Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Wheatear and single Whinchat, Lesser Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler and Goldcrest logged.
Diurnal Migration
Totals through the morning involved 1170 Swallow, 240 Meadow Pipit, 110 Sand Martin, 75 Tree Sparrow, 23 Linnet, 20 House Martin, 9 Tree Pipit, 9 Pied Wagtail and 5 Grey Wagtail.
Wildfowl and Waders
A Pintail – the first of the autumn, was amongst 60 Teal and 4 Wigeon. Waders included 9 Black-tailed Godwit.
Miscellaneous
The Hooded Crow remains.

Several Painted Lady were amongst a small influx of Red Admiral
